Stay in a healthy shape and join us at the Overland Community Center, where we will leave you feeling fit and healthy each week. Our classes will improve your balance, tone those hidden muscles, and shed that extra weight in a fun motivating environment. Registration is required for all Overland and Non-Overland Residents. Whether your signing up for a new session or just dropping by to try out the class, our friendly staff will assist you into the right direction without the pressure of hidden monthly fees or signing a contract. 2012 Current Fitness Classes and Programs Karate: Various Self Defense Techniques involving martial arts. This class meets every Thursday from 5:15-7:30 pm for 9 week sessions. Ages 6 yrs old and up are welcomed to join. Yoga: Open to all beginners and experienced members, this class will help you increase the blood circulation in the body by utilizing your physical posture. Improve your balance, flexibility, and strength in the body by joining our class today! Meets every Tuesday from 6-7 pm for 9 week sessions. Ages 18 yrs and older are welcomed. Evening Spinning: For beginning to advanced levels of fitness. Spinning is performed on a stationary bicycle, no experience is necessary. The instructor encourages each participant to work at his or her own pace and incorporates visualization techniques along with motivating music. This class features a 45-minute cardio ride, including a warm-up and cool-down, followed by core body strengthening and stretching. Class sessions meet every Monday and Wednesday from 6:35-7:35 pm for 9 weeks. Ages 18 yrs and older are welcomed. Total Fit Class: This class combines weight training, cardio fitness, flexibility, and balance training to create the total fit person. Tone the body as you sweat to the motivating music while learning a variety of different exercise techniques. This class is open to all fitness levels. Leave the class feeling strong and full of energy by signing up today. Evening class sessions meet every Monday from 6:10-7:00 pm for 9 weeks. Ages 12 yrs and older are welcomed. Zumba: Fusing hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system that is fun and easy to do. Burn calories, pump muscles, and watch your body sculpt. Add some Latin flavor dance moves to your life by signing up today! This class is open to beginner's basic levels and intermediate levels. Meets every Wednesday from 6-7 pm for 9 week sessions.
